LCEM currently has 20 volunteers and growing. These volunteers have diverse background with some coming from the fire and EMS service, some with law enforcement experience, and some with no public safety experience at all.

Our volunteers fill a wide variety of roles in the County before, during, and after a disaster. Volunteers routinely respond to large wildfires in the county with cold water, sports drinks, and snacks. Volunteers also have the opportunity to respond with LCEM staff to task force deployments to assist with record keeping and other duties.

Volunteers also assist with severe weather response including assisting with running the EOC, storm spotting in the field, and monitoring weather conditions and radar. LCEM volunteers assist in running the social media accounts for the agency, especially during times of high activity.

Our volunteers are crucial to our success at LCEM. If you would like to apply to be a volunteer, please download the application below and email it to cmcdonell@lincolncountyok.org. We do not accept all applications, but we welcome anyone to apply if they are interested.
